Galley Cart Stop Block Assembly

This stop block assembly serves as the core positioning and safety restraint component for aircraft galley carts. Installed on the side wall of each cart bay (full-size/half-size), each bay is equipped with one large and one small stop block, rotating 90°​ about its axis to deliver dual-function “block” and “release” control over cart egress . The main body utilizes aviation-grade aluminum alloy, integrating a lock cylinder, steel balls and compression spring—the lock cylinder and block through-hole are securely locked via steel ball engagement, while the compression spring elastically presses the balls to ensure reliable positioning and rebound . The assembly is designed in compliance with MH/T 6061-2010​ (Minimum Design and Performance of Aircraft Galley Carts, Containers and Related Components) and CTSO-C175​ technical standards, with materials meeting CCAR 25.853 / FAR 25.853​ flammability, low-smoke and low-toxicity requirements . Successfully applied in G4 galley stop-block retrofit programs for A320 and other mainstream aircraft types, it effectively restores intended equipment functionality and extends service life . Fully customizable to galley bay dimensions across Boeing, Airbus and COMAC platforms, it forms the foundational component for galley cart safety management.
